简介：
Dr Carter is from Adelaide Australia.In 2010 Dr Carter was awarded a PhD in Applied Mathematic in which he examined a problem of stochastic multi-phase fluid flow related to petroleum engineering. He has a degree in pure and applied mathematics and honours (first class) in geophysics from the University of Adelaide. He has also lectured mathematics at the University of Adelaide.
From 2013-2016, Dr Carter was employed as a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Geophysics at the University of Adelaide. His most recent work used the magnetotelluric method to monitor hydraulic fracturing. Magnetotelluric sensing uses Earth's naturally occurring electro-magnetic radiation to measure and model the subsurface resistivity profile. This work has substantial applications to the monitoring of shale and coal seam gas world-wide. Dr Carter also worked on the Bayesian inversion of magnetotelluric data as part of a large multi-discipline inversion project coordinated through National ICT Australia.
Now he is a teacher in the school of geophysics and petroleum resources, Yangtze university.
